I just lost one of my horizontal guides! I had 2 them something happened and I lost one.
I tried the Edit options but even when I set the Top and Bottom radio buttons I always end up with just 1.
I zoomed out to 25%, thinking the missing guide was out of sight, but there appears to be only 1.
I even tried rebooting my computer, but no luck.
I've answered my Question. All I needed to do was View/ add guides.
I did that and added Ver and Horz guides; now I have my 4 guides back. They will be my default.

Mike,
Can you provide a screenshot?

Not much to see, just one missing guide. I reduced the image to 25% to make sure the guide wasn't off the screen.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I have no ideas. The only way I can see this happening is an accidental deletion. And I think that would be difficult to delete just one by mistake.

Yeah, I agree. Seems like it should be impossible to delete a guide, but I suppose there are times when you only want r two or three guides on the screen. That makes what the guy with the complicated name said about guides that get dragged off the screen getting deleted.
But if that's a thing why is getting them back such a mystery?

Just in case, by mistake if you would have clicked and dragged above the rulers, or even outside the stage size, it gets deleted.

I hadn't thought about the possibility that sometimes you only want 2 or 3 guides. Why is getting them back such a mystery? Why isn't the Guides icon a toggle, that returns all 4 by guides by default?
I'm still missing a guide. do you have any idea how I get it back?

If it's a guide you made, View -> Show Rulers, then drag from the ruler down to the point you want the guide.
I never use templates; is that how you got the guides to begin with?

I haven't experimented with Guide Presets yet, I'm just trying to get the default guides back.

The only default guides I see are safe margins, and they do not correspond to your screenshot. And the ones I see are not multi-colored. Are these part of an imported template, mogrt, or similar?
Which command are you using to turn them on?

If you want the same guides to be used frequently that has customized position, you can export the guidelines that you have created. Go to View --> Guide Templates --> Save Guide as template. Once done, you can go to the same menu option to select the guide that you have created as template and re-use the same.
