Help! 4 camera angles - one master audio - multicam sequence

Hey there:

We shot a three-hour mass.

I have one 3-hour audio clip recorded of the entire mass.

I then have 4 camera angles. The four cameras did not each record one continuous clip of the mass, but rather started and stopped multiple, multiple times throughout the mass.

I am trying to create a multicam sequence of all of these clips and the audio, but adobe isn't able to do so successfully at all.

It either just spits the audio back at me, or it only synchronizes a handful to the audio, then gives me a bunch of other multicam clip angles.

What's the best way to do this?

Here's what I do - create a new sequence (I call it Sync), and use one video track for each camera angle. Let Audio Track 1 be your master audio, and your camera audio fall below it (I.e. The Audio from the video angle on track1 is on audio track 2, etc). Drop the first video from the first angle into the timeline, and sync it with the audio. Do the same for the next 3 video tracks. Then, just keep tacking on the next clips from the camera to the appropriate track (checking that the sync isnt getting screwed up along the way.

When you're done, lock the tracks so they dont get moved, then open a new sequence, call it "Multicam", and drag the sync sequence into that timeline. Right click on it, and enable multicam - now you'll have a proper multicam file, synced with you soundboard audio, to cut angles on. It's a bit tedious, but it works perfectly.
