I completely screwed up and got into cleaning the media cache on my own and deleted (and OMG! yes, also deleted trash permanently) the whole content of the "common" folder!!!
I was trying to solve a problem dealing with some AVCHD files that were imported with no sound into Premiere Pro CS6. And tried the following solution:
And as it says i was supposed to clear the media cache.
After that I tried to reopen Adobe Premiere and evidently it crashed!
I don't know what to do!!! I'm desperate...
I'm on a MAC OS X Version 10.9.5
Please help! RameezKhan
Thanks.

Common folder is use for 3rd party plugins.
Has nothing to do with clearing Media Cache.
Have you tried installing the plugins.
If the folder is not there you can make one yourself.
Have you tried reinstalling and Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

You say. "Common folder is use for 3rd party plugins.

Really?? I've got there through following the indications from this post:
FAQ: How to clean media cache files?
"Have you tried installing the plugins." No... how can I do this?
"If the folder is not there you can make one yourself." the folder is there, the problem is it is completely empty. It had 4 or 5 folders, that I recall had no visible files in it... however, removing them turned into total disaster... Here a picture of the actual state of things and another down below from the error that Premiere sends when trying to open the program.
thanks for any hints you can give me on this!
Gratefully,
Alejandra

It would probably just be easier to uninstall and reinstall as Ann suggested.

I think so too. I am not a mac person so I dont realy know.
I looked in my common folder and all I saw was a plugin.
But then again my temp files are stored somewhere else.
But if it is the default location for temp files, yeah it should be empty if deleting media cache.
