Help please!! Only audio importing on timeline:(

So basically, when I place my first clip onto my timeline both audio and video show up but when I place my second, third, forth clips etc, only the audio shows up? I have attached a picture as an example. The only way I can edit and get both audio and video onto one timeline is by creating a new sequence for every clip I need then copying and pasting those clips onto my main timeline. This takes AGES and makes my editing process messy and its really annoying me. If anyone knows why this is happening/how to fix it, i'd REALLY appreciate your help! (Btw, I am working on 2017 .1.1 version)

How are you bringing the clip from the source window onto your timeline? Dragging and dropping? Or Using the Insert (,) or Overwrite (.) shortcuts?

Dear Lana,

I am sorry for your inconvenience. Do you have the V1 on the left side of the track header highlighted when you click and drop your clips on the timeline? This is a general workflow issue. Please patch tracks before editing clips to that track.

Are you using Windows or Mac for Premiere Pro? You could check your Sequence Settings by right clicking on the sequence and choosing Sequence Settings. It could be that your media settings do not match with the Sequence settings.

You could also create a Sequence by setting it up ahead of time. You right click in the project panel and then choose New Item, and Sequence. The New Sequence window opens. It can look a bit daunting, but you can go to the middle Settings and you can set the appropriate settings and make sure that your media is going to match. When you drop the clips in the timeline, they should match up perfectly.

To grab all of your clips you can click and then Shift+click and bring them over into the timeline.
