Question

Horizontal bands on video

Hello! I'm hoping I can get some help

I'm only very new to editing videos with Premiere Pro.. I've taken a video which plays fine, but when I speed it up I can see horizontal bands scrolling up the page that are a light brown colour. I'm thinking maybe this is from my lights? Is there a way to remove these or soften them as although it's not super noticeable in the printscreen below, they are quite distracting when viewing a sped up video as the bands are scrolling.

I would really appreciate some help! Thank you so much,

Alyce

What frame rate did you film at and what if the mains frequency of your lighting?

Hi Richard! It is filmed at 25 Frame Rate. I'm not sure of the frequency of lighting.. but I use three photography lights with softbox which I believe have 2x135 Watt bulbs in each one. I'm not sure how to get any other information on that Thank you so much!

    Australia

Australian mains runs at 50 Hz so light should not have been a problem filming at 25fps (unless you were running off a generator). Does the 'brown' have any colour or is it just a change of brightness. You could use some of the colour correction effects to reduce the saturation of the highlights, you could compress the whites to remove any brightness changes using the curves effect.
