How do I allow a plugin I developed to be installed and distributed?

My company is developing a plugin for Premiere Pro that we hope we can distribute. We are currently testing it in Debug Mode. If we want to allow it to be installed and used in 'normal' mode, do we need to apply to Adobe Exchange to get it approved or something?

In order to make the extension work without debug mode, you need to sign the ZXP package.

After that you have two options. Either you deliver the zxp to your clients yourself and ask them to install it with an installer like aescripts ZXP installer:

or you submit it to Adobe Exchange to distribute it there.
