Where do I go to download it?
So, for grins and giggles I completely signed out of all Adobe pages, then I went straight into the Adobe Story page and it had me log in with my Adobe ID and THEN those options are available.
Apparently, when signed into an Adobe page and then going to the Story page it 'automatically' logs you in - with an incorrect ID or something. I've been fighting this for days!

The download option for desktop application is available for Story Plus users under the Project menu on the left side. You can also find option to install it by Clicking on Home icon once you Sign In to Story.

So, what are you supposed to do when the 'Download Desktop Application' is greyed out, and the home page doesn't have a link to download Plus?
Yes, I'm signed in.

Hi,
To upgrade to Story Plus, click on the "Upgrade Now" button adjacent to "Sign out" button in the top right corner and follow the instructions thereafter.
Free users don't have access to desktop application, once you upgrade to story plus you will start seeing the various menu options (as mentioned above) to download the desktop app.
Thanks,
Vimal Varshney

Hi,
Great to hear that your problem is resolved. Adobe Story and other Adobe online services support single sign-on, so if you are signed in into one of these services with some email ID say 'x' then the other service will automatically sign in with 'x'.
Enjoy writing in Story!!!
Thanks,
Vimal

Which is really strange because I have only one Adobe ID. So, one would think that an autologin from that ID would take me to the same place as a clean login with that same ID does. But apparently not.

I have the paid version and cannot dowload the desktop application.

You have to get it via Story Classic... Please follow the instructions on this related Forums thread:
Also, did you see:

Hi......could I ask those of you who contributed to this thread to consider adding a comment in support of keeping Adobe Story going on the following thread? The hope would be that if enough people contributed Adobe may listen. If you know of others who use Adobe Story perhaps you could pass the link on and invite them to make a comment. We are also hoping that Story could be developed further to the same standard as Adobe Story Classic.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,
Here is the official channel to express feedback to Adobe:
Feature Request/Bug Report Form
Just select "Adobe Story" in the product dropdown menu.
Sending your comments directly to Adobe would be recommended in addition to posting here (or there) alone.

Still works the same way if you want to work offline... Look for "Install Desktop Application" once you sign in:
