Hello,
Adobe Premiere Pro cannot import WMV. What must I do now?

FYI, Premiere Pro does not natively support WMV import on the Mac (we do on Windows, though). As you've already found, it will require a 3rd party plug-in, such as Flip4Mac.

What version?
I have just imported a WMV file into Win CC Pro 7.1.
Failing that, drag it into Media Encoder and export it as a usable format.

Adobe Media Encoder CC said that they cannot read .WMV.

Ah!
It must be a Mac thing, as WMV is a Microsoft codec.

Yes, Adobe Premiere Pro can read .wmv now after I have installed http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9442. A problem is solved (-:

Since it puzzeled me I'll clarify this a bit. After buying and installing Flip4mac player ($ 29,-) you'll be able to import WMV files in Adobe Media Encoder directly. At first I thought you had to convert it first with Flip4Mac, but that is (thankfully) not necessary.

I have Flip4Mac Studio Pro HD. When I import the WMV into Premiere Pro CC 2015.3, here's what i get:
Needless to say this is not what the WMV looks like on Windows.
What the heck is going on here?

Method One: Play WMV on Apple's computer with Windows system
Nowadays, you can install Windows operating system, XP, Vista, 7, 8 on Apple's computer, iMac, MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini with Boot Camp, and this system can co-exist with the built in Mac OS X system side by side. If you start the Windows system, you can access any files in Mac Drive, and double click any WMV file in Mac system to play it.
Method Two: Convert WMV to Mac OS X System Supported Formats
Here, personally recommend an easy-to-use way to convert WMV to Mac compatible foramts.
