Question

How do I set a Default Export Locations Premiere 23.0.0?

I'm exporting 300+ Videos tomorrow. My default location is set to documents, and it doesn't always remember the last folder I used. Is there any way to set the default export location?

Version Premiere 23.0.0

SOS, please help 🙂

No it's not, but that's the way it works... It would be great if Adobe could do a simple fix/addition to make it default to the last place. Or to let us assign a default place in preferences or project preferences.

Stan's right. It's one of those "It does this except for if that, when it does the other thing instead" things.

There are Ideas posted for getting a Default Export location option which would be a big help.

Importing, exporting media, and exporting other things (like caption srt) use different paths - and none of them are set in preferences.

Generally, they remember the last used.

EXCEPT for exports, which appear to remember the last path used for the sequence you are exporting from. Unless it has never exported from that sequence, in which case it uses the last one used.

In other words, always check it is using the correct path. And if you are exporting all your sequences to the same path, you shouldn't have a problem once you have done it once.

If you find something is not as I think, let us know. I just checked this, but it is more complex than I remember....

Once I have exported to a folder-- Premiere does remember. But when I export for the 1st time from a sequence it defaults to DOCUMENTS instead of last used. Is this behavior correct?
