How do I set rectangle size in Premier Pro (NOT After Effects)

I have upgraded from Premier Elements 14 to Premier Pro 2020 and am having trouble sizing and positioning a rectangle.

In Elements there is a panel where I can set the exact height and width in pixels - where is the equivalent in Premier Pro? At the moment all I can do is size it approximately with the mouse. The Essential Graphics panel only allows me to scale the rectangle as a percentage but what I want to do is set the exact size in pixels (for example 160px wide and 80px high).

Premiere changes over time.

You can make a rectangular with an exact height and width in the EGP.

Furthermore, you can set as many guides as you like.

These solutions don't work for this problem because:

(1) It won't let me create more than two guides.  Any more than two vanish.

(2) Snapping only applies to the positioning of the rectangle, not the sizing.

1. Trash Preferences.

2. That is correct.

Using the guides with program window snapping is the best way that I found, but in practice it wasn't so precise with 4K video. When setting up the guides, you should set two in order to define the top left starting position and another two in order to define the width and height. Zoom in to 100% to make sure it snaps exactly where needs to be. You can define size by pixel in After Effects, not sure why Adobe couldn't implement that or at least make snapping better.

If you want to create a rectangle with pixel values, go to " File" / "New" / Color Matte . Enter your values in Pixels . I don't know if it can resolve your problem now. It could be a good request feature to be able to choose wether pixel or percent.

Unfortuantely, Premiere doesnt have a spot to type in an exact height and width value (I know I know, ironic since Elements DOES), but Ann's tip, although it takes way more steps than it should, will work. You can find the option to place guides in specific places under the View menu (and make sure your Program Monitor is the active panel when you DO go to the View menu).

Is not that much more work.

just two guides to set the height and width (starting from the left top corner)

Then pick up de graphic and move it to whatever position.

Use the Guides to setup exact measurements.

And turn on snapping in the Progam window.
