How Do you change the colour of the background for a track matte key effect

Hi, I'm currently making a video for a client and have created a track matte key effect on my V1 track to make the text layer on V2 see through. The background of the see through text is currently black and I was wondering if  it was possible to change the colour of it to white? I have tried using the invert effect and have also tried putting a white overlay on a track inbetween the text and the video  but still can't seem to find a way. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to do this?

Thanks

You cannot change the background as there is no background: its a void and shows as black.

Just move the track matte and text 1 track up.

Drop a color matte in V1.

Instead of using a Track Matte key on video 1 and then designating video 2 (which holds the super-imposed text), consider using one of the Blend modes on the text layer, as long as the text color is anything but full white or black.

Hope this helps.
