How do you create a new sequence just from clips selected on timeline?

How do you create a new sequence just from clips selected on timeline?  Like, I just want to render 1 or a couple of clips and nothing else but the workaround is to make another timeline and delete the rest to keep 1.

When you have so many it becomes an issue.  If you have like up to 3 you have no chance of making a mistake.  I will only know if I didn't render something if I check it after.

All transcoding and encoding functions provide progress and status messages, so I'm not sure why you'd need to manually check for mist

Display the work area bar, drag the handles of that bar and export the movie, by default you will be exporting the selected work area only:

Select the clips, right click and choose nest. Then export the nested sequence.
