How do you insert a title template into the beginning of the video clip?

I found title templates from 'Essential Grpahics'. I try to add it to the very begining of the clip. However, when I drag it over to the begining of the  'timeline' panel and release it, it replaces the first clip. This is not what i am trying to do, i want the template to be before the clip, not replacing it!!!

Start dragging the Motion Graphic to the timeline, then hold down the Command (Control) key - you'll see a bunch of arrows appear -  and drag it to where you want and release the mouse:

    You need to get some space for the title. The quickest way is to use the A shortcut key while the cursor is in the Timeline panel to switch to Track Forward tool, then click on the first clip and move it and everything else down the line to get some space.
