How do you make Text shadow move?

Really irratated, just want to make my text shadow (drop shadow) move the same way as how the mask path works. Like as if the sun is moving you know what I mean.
I tried doing the timer thing with "Source Text" and it is just jump cutting. I don't want to go to every single frame and lower the shadow each and every time for 5 days. And Windows is being real mean to me not letting the youtube program features work after I'm on the page for more than 10 minutes.

(also if you can help me do anything on here with premier since I don't have after effects it would help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWtfOHBF1_w)

    Yea, I see your point. As the drop-shadow effect moves in relation to the text anchor point ... it moves on an arc. So to smooth that out would take a large amount of fiddly adjust the points nearly by frame. Yea, that's a pain.

    I'm wondering about a different approach.

    In the EGP ...

    • duplicate the line of text;
    • select the lower text in the EGP controls, and set the Fill and Opacity to the setting you want for your shadow;
    • set position for the drop-shadow line of text at start of graphic;
    • turn on animation for position;
    • move to end of graphic, set ending position.

    See if that works. You might need to apply this in two layers of graphics, with the 'shadow' one also having a bit of blur added.

    Not sure exactly what you're talking about. I do know if you apply rotation, the shadow rotates with the text which is not normally what one wants. So ... for that, you create your text graphic, nest it, then from the Effects panel, apply the Drop Shadow effect to the nested 'clip'. That keeps the shadow at the same angle even while the text is rotating.

    I just want my shadow to move without me going to each and every frame and moving the shadow lower.
    And I want the path settings. That thing where you just need to set two points on where you want it to start and end up and then it will automaticly slowly move to the point. I want my text to stay. I want the shadow to slowly stretch.
