Hi, I have a video file exported by a creator, and I’d like to import it into Premiere Pro to add captions. Could anyone provide guidance on the steps for importing this file and adding text captions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! Here’s a quick guide:

Import Video: Go to File > Import and select your video file.

Add to Timeline: Drag it onto the Timeline.

Create Captions Track: Go to Window > Text, then Create New Captions Track. Choose Subtitles.

Add Captions: Type captions in the Text panel and adjust timing in the Timeline.

Export: Go to File > Export > Media. Select Burn Captions into Video if you want captions embedded.

Good luck!

Thank you for the guide! However, I already have an exported captions file
(such as an .srt or .xml file) that I’d like to import into a different
video file. Also, I don’t see an 'Import' option in my menu, so I’m unsure
how to proceed with importing the captions. Could you provide steps on how
to sync the existing captions file with my new video? Thank you!
