Hi;

I know it's weird question, but you know there is a way in photoshop to adjust the convas to picture size which you increase its size. So I wana know is it posible in premiere? I mean, crop a clip in timeline and apply a command to resize the sequence apt to clip, is it possible?!

gratefully

don't forget that you can put larger clips into smaller sequence, and have room to zoom in and reposition that way. Like put a 4k into a full HD and that lets you be able to ( essentially ) crop by zooming IN, and also allows you to reposition ( all that can be keyframed like ken burns effect, etc. ).

Here's test I did recently with a bmpcc 4k camera... notice the last frames... that is zooming in and positioning staying with 16:9 ( no black bars )...

It's just a different way of looking at options ( like thinking ahead for potential of simile to crop etc, )

To resize an existing Sequence, choose Sequence > Sequence Settings.  Change the Editing Mode to "Custom" and then manually set the Video Frame Size to match your picture size (note: you may have to scroll up to get to "Custom").  You may also need to adjust your Video Previews at the bottom of this dialog box.  Some Preview File Formats do not support custom sizes.  I'd recommend choosing QuickTime for the Preview File Format and Apple ProRes422 LT as the Cocec (if you happen to be doing broadcast or cable work, choose Apple ProRes422 HQ).

thank you all guys;

I realised that there is no way to adjust the sequence to croped clip in timeline, and it will being changed only manualy. I mean we can not do what we do in photoshop, when we adjust the size of the convas with picture. you're right.
thank you of all your guidances.

Now that I re-read your original post, you're talking about an Image Size change in Photoshop instead of a Canvas Size change.  Just to be clear on terminology, a Canvas Size change does not change the size of the Layers inside of the document while an Image Size change does.  Also, a Canvas Size change in Photoshop is effecively the same thing as a Sequence Frame Size change in Premiere Pro.  Premiere Pro does not have an Image Size change like Photoshop becaues it links to each clip rather than opens and edits each clip directly.

Beware if the clip is an odd size so will the timeline.

This might produce issues when it comes to exporting.

from inside the Project Panel, drag the clip to an icon which says 'New Item'.

This will start a new sequence based on clip settings and dimensions
