Question

How to alter duration of multiple clips, including some with altered durations?

Hi, I'm trying to create a time-lapse video from hyperlapse footage taken off of my Samsung S8+. Because the S8+ tries to guess where to slow down the hyperlapse, I needed to edit the clip manually into dozens of smaller clips, and then shorten the duration of those slower clips by 800%. Now I've got the clips how I want them, but I need to shorten the duration of the entire project by approximately another 800%. I can't seem to find a way to do this. Any advice?

OS: Windows 10 Pro build 1607

Premiere Pro 2017.1.2

Select all the necessary clips in the sequence, right click and choose Speed/Duration.  Check the Ripple Edit box, adjust Speed and hit OK.

Hi Shaanakhan,

Are you familiar with Nesting sequences? Basically, it is a sequence nested in another one, somewhat identical how you would do Precompositions in After Effects.

From the Project Panel grab the sequence that contains all of the shortened clips and drag it on top of the New Item icon at the bottom right corner of the Project Panel and create a new sequence. Alternatively, you can also select all clips in the existing sequence and use the context menu (right click) and choose Nest...

Next, open up that new sequence and apply a speed change, either by using the context menu (right-click) using Speed/Duration or Show Clip Keyframes > Time remapping.

Good luck.

If you have multiple clips and want to speed them up 800%... are they on a sequence? If so, select and nest them, or make a new clip with that sequence, and right-click /duration set to 800%.
