Question

How to change a font on an infographic template

For a current project, I used two different infographic templates in Premiere Pro, "Gradient Circle Chart Infographic" and "Blue 3D Info Box." I can change the colors, font sizes, and positions, but I cannot figure out how to change the font. I would like to be able to include our branded fonts, or at the very least, adjust between bold and regular. I am attaching a screenshot of the edit tab since that's where a Google search takes me to. You can see that there are no options to change the font. Please help!!

When a mogrt is made in AfterEffects and exported, the only options available to the user in Premiere Pro are those the creator added to the EGP panel in Ae. So if they aren't there, you can't change it.

However ... if you have Ae, and open the mogrt in Ae, you could change that by adding the font selection to the EGP there and export the modified mogrt.

And I see the most excellent Gerik gave a great and detailed answer to how to do this. Hooray!

Looks like whoever made the motion graphic template didn't include the ability to change the font. But you can go through a process of opening it up in After Effects and editing the file to either change the font it's using or enable it for you to change it to any font. But understand you'll be doing this at your own rish. A brief overview of how to do this (I'm on Mac OS so this is how I do it) ....

1. Download and find the MOGRT file on you local drive.

2.  Change the extension from .aegraphic to .zip

3. Unzip the file

4. Open folder and open the "Info Box (converted).aep file in Adobe After Effects

5. After it's open in After Effects switch the AE Workspace to Essential Graphics

6. Find the Essential Graphics Panel and find the text you want to change the font on and click the blue "Edit Properties"

7. When the menu box opens put a check mark next to "Enable Custom Font Selection"

8. Save you AE file as a new AE project

9. In the Essential Graphics panel at the bottom click the "Export Motion Graphics Template.." button and pick a logical destination to save the file too.

10. Go back to Premiere Pro and import the MOGRT file you just saved.

11. Add the MOGRT to your timeline. And now in your Premiere Pro Essential Graphics Panel you should see the options to change fonts.

I hope I got that right. I might have rushed through the steps and missed something. I'm sure there's youtube tutorials and such you can find that will guide you step by step.
