Hello,
I have many footage (I suppose they were shot on different phones).
Some of them Rec. 709, some Rec. 2100 HLG
My sequence is Rec.709
So, if I add footage Rec.709 they look good.
But if I add Rec.2100 HLG they look wrong. If I change their Color Space to Rec.709, they look a bit better, but still too gray (not as the original ones).
So, my question.
How to combine Rec.709 and Rec.2100 HLG in one sequence, so both look like the original?
Thank you!
Easy, using the new color management tools.
Color Workspace, Lumetri panel, SETTINGS tab. The tab named Settings.
Display Color Management on, auto tonemapping and auto detect log on, sequence to Rec.709.
Give your OS and monitor setup. If on a Mac, well, there is another issue to address.
Edit:
And add a couple screen grabs drag/dropped onto the text reply area. Show us the problem. As if you have the correct CM set, you shouldn't have any troubles. So a screengrab of the entire Lumetri panel Settings tab, showing virtually all sections, so we see the state of auto detect log, auto tone map, sequence CM, the whole thing.

Worked great!
The color management in the Lumetry tab... my god... who thought about that?

This doesn't work. It still looks really bad. How do I combine material from an iPhone with Color Space Rec. 2100 HLG and an iPhone with Color Space: Rec. 709 in 1 timeline. It must be possible to combine both types of recordings in a simple way?

Display Color Management, auto detect log and auto tonemapping all on. Use a Rec.709 sequence. Export only using presets that do not include HLG or PQ in the preset name.
