How to correct audio before recording

Hello,

In my latest recording, all but two of my audios were good. The two bad ones almost sounds tinny with lisps. I didn't find out until I was fixing that in Audition that the reason for those two bad audios was that my volume was too loud while recording it. I don't think that I did see the volume meter go up high. I am just wondering how I can fix this in the future before recording it.

Were you recording with Premiere Pro? If not, this might not be the best place to search for assistance.

What hardware were you using? Mic? Recorder? Format?

The mic that I am using is Blue Snowball, but I am also using that with the
Krisp software, which gets rid of background noise. The recorder is
Premiere Pro. And the format is in .wav, but this issue also happens with
.mp3.

This happened a lot even with Audition, but I don't know how to fix it. I
just want to know what to do in order for the audio not to sound tinny and
lispy. I guess another way to explain it is that the audio(s) is muffled.
It doesn't sound like a professional studio crisp and clear audio. So there
must be something that I need to do to fix this next time.

The best way to acheive professional studio quality audio will be to follow professional studio recording practices.

I would look into improving your recording set-up. Even small changes can help improve quality. Can you set up your mic in a space which is isloated from noise? Recording in a closet or using improvised baffles around you while you record can help. I found these references with a quick search:

Using audio processing (ie. noise reduction) to improve the quality of a recording is less ideal than starting with a good recording.
