How to get audio mix track in manual multicam sequence?

I got material of band performances that was recorded with 3 cameras. Since some audio channels of the material are distorted and the third camera was turned on and off producing multiple short clips I did not use the Create Multicam Source Sequence command, but added the clips manually to a sequence. Before I added the files to the sequence I modified the audio channels of the source clips to have one usable stereo clip with each camera clip. So the source sequence holds 3 stereo tracks.

I then selected the Sequence, chose New Sequence From Clip and chose Multi-Camera Enabled for that nested clip. The multi-camera edit worked fine, but I only get the audio of track 1 and not the mixed audio of the source sequence. During the edit we only used the audio 1 track which came from the mixer and muted track 2 and 3 so we didn't realize the problem. We finished edited 6 hours of multicam material and now wanted to work on the audio mix in the source sequence. We want to mix the mixer sound track1 with the ambient sound track 2 and 3 for the whole hour in the source sequence.

When using Create Multicam Source Sequence there is an option for the audio sequence settings and I can chose between All Cameras, Camera 1 and Switch Audio. Where can I change this setting afterwards for a sequence? I couldn't find anything and searching the internt didn't give any useful results. I'm afraid that this might be another bug by design.

When I have a regular nested sequence I hear the mixed sound of the source in the main sequence. As soon as I choose Multi-Camera Enable I only hear audio track 1 and find no option to change it to all tracks or the mix of the source sequence. How do I set what audio goes in the output of a sequence? How can I achive to mix the audio in the source sequence and use that mix in the multi-camera sequence?

Thanks, for any help,
Marcus

Can you post a copy of the project file? No source files needed - just the project file.

It's not recommended to make stereo multicams, as the audio output type of a sequence cannot be changed. Multichannel with two mono tracks could easily have been changed to more channels.

In the meantime, maybe this can help you sort it out: https://premierepro.net/multicam/

One thing I've found very useful is to select the multicam clip in the project window, and right click and choose "load in timeline" and then just eliminate all the superfluous audio tracks so you've just got your ideal audio track in the multicam...  If you need to access one of the other audio tracks as you're prepping for your sound design, you can just match frame from your edit so the multicam loads in the source monitor, choose the angle you want and then match frame from the source monitor to load the individual source clip and then add the desired audio to the timeline.
