Question

How to insert a math equation in Premiere Pro

I have several math equations generated in LaTeX and I cannot figure out how to insert them in Premiere Pro in a transparent background without the quality being degraded and the ability to modify font color. Does anyone know a workaround for this? Thank you!

$ V_{n}=\int\limits_{e^{n}}^{e^{2n+3}}\frac{1}{x} dx $

this was a lot harder to try and organize saving files as PSD and making screenshots as png to show here on forum. I can do it fast but saving the stuff to show someone else is like REALLY hard.

hehehe...

So basically, I got a file with transparent background ( psd). I put a screenshot of the math program characters into a new layer of that file ( make new layer, paste screenshot into it , same dimensions ( e.g. 1080p).

So now I got two layers. transparent and black text on white.

Now I select ( magic wand ) the white stuff behind black text and delete...so now I have black text on transparent background. Would be hard to see in a video probably...so I then use magic wand AGAIN and select the characters and fill it ( in this case red ).

somewhere along the way I made a black layer so I could see white letters but this is where having too many beers and saving psd file to use and png files to upload here ...got me pretty confused !

I'm just gonna put the png files in and maybe someone can figure out what I did.

so got rid of white above and now I selected black characters and filled with red.

so now I got the transparent background ( alpha) and export as PNG to go into video timeline...

sheesh.. time for another beer !

In honor of nice Asian woman who was my babysitter at age of 3 ( and taught me how to make some numbers or something ) I had to correct earlier character. I think THIS is the right one. Maybe some nice Asian person will tell me if it's close to a real number or whatever.'

To further illustrate the problematic 'consistency' of iconography and symbols, etc., I also drew a dog.  It is specifically a FILM DOG, because if you don't draw it at exactly 24 FPS it is NOT A REAL FILM DOG !

So, you're trying to create a graphic of text, essentially, on an alpha background?

Yes that's correct!

You should be able to do that with the EGP, really ... that starting "black" background of the EGP created text is actually an alpha channel ... note, when you have an EGP created graphic over a clip, you only see the "added" things like text and the graphic shapes you've created.
