Is there a way of adding different codec's to Premiere Pro 2020 so that it can support video file formats such as  .mpg4 or .avi?

Thanks.

Premiere Pro is capable of supporting two kind of clips. How old is the MP4 clip and what codec are you using in AVI?

avi is not a codec.  It's a container.

Depends on OS.

Also depends on what codec is used in the avi.

Mp4 is supported.
