Hi. I have edited a 3 minute video in Premiere Pro, and have exported an MP4 video for social media. Can I just burn that to a DVD somehow?
I used to use Encore but thats not available anymore.
I need to create a DVD because the people I'm doing the video for are nuns and they dont use any new technology. They only have a DVD player.
I have a DVD burner and blank DVDs which I stored from years ago!
Thank you

You cannot make a dvd with Premiere (Encore) anymore.
You will need 3rd party software such as
TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 - The Ultimate DVD / Blu-ray / AVCHD Authoring Tool - Pegasys Inc.
If you export the file as a mpeg2-dvd file from Premiere, TMPGenc wont re-encode.

FYI, version 6 cannot be bought anymore and has been replaced with version 7. 🙂

From my mac, if I right click the file and choose burn to DVD, that would work the same right? I just don't have a DVD player to test it.

If you do that the files will be burned to the DVD but you won´t get any menues. Some DVD players will have trouble playback the material unless you render out MPEG2-DVD from Premiere Pro. So you wont get a disk that one just can insert and then play as one expect from a authored DVD.
If you want a DVD disk everybody can watch you must use a DVD authoring app. Use google to find DVD authoring apps for Mac.

according to pegasys authoring works 7, (which is what is available now) will not burn a project created and authored by premiere pro.

It has always been like that.
You need to render out your media from Premiere Pro and import it into TAW 7. If you are making a DVD, export to MPEG2-DVD from Premiere Pro.

You do not use the project file. Premiere cannot author a dvd or blyray
you use the exported video file as in m4v and wave.
