How to make text stop moving in Premiere Pro

Community Beginner ,
Sep 18, 2019 Sep 18, 2019

I am sorry. I am sure this is a very dumb question, but I'm still learning. I am making a video in Premiere Pro that has text popping up throughout the video. I somehow attached some sort of anchor points to my text and now when I want to move the text it creates an animation where the text moves across the screen from the anchor point. I have googled and cannot figure out how to get rid of this. I'm sure it's a very simple solution.

I'm posting a screen shot of the anchor point I'm referring to.premiere.JPG

Jennifer,

I had a feeling that was going to happen. Sorry for the confusion.

Can you try scrolling down a little further in the Effect Controls layer to find the graphics layer? It should read as the same as the text. There is also a set of Position controls there, as well. That is where you'll likely discover those keyframes. Did that help?

Kind Regards,
Kevin

Hi JenniferD,

How terribly frustrating. You need to remove the Position keyframes for the graphic in the Effect Controls panel. Just select, then delete them. Let us know if you have a hard time locating that or performing the operation. Please come back with any questions, as well.

Thanks,
Kevin

premiere.2JPG.JPGThanks for replying. I don't see how to do this, unfortunately. I went to the Position Effect in the Effect Controls panel but do not see any position keyframes or how to remove them.
