Previously in Premiere, my timeline moved frame by frame with the mouse wheel, but now in the 2025 version, it zooms the playback. How can I change this setting?

Hi dima_0364,

Welcome to the community! You can set the timeline playback scroll behaviour under Timeline Preferences menu (Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Premiere Pro > Settings (macOS)). You may refer to this link for more info. Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Sumeet

When you scroll your mouse wheel, hover your cursor over the time ruler to move frame by frame.

Oh, thank you so much, I didn’t think it would be that simple! But maybe it’s possible to make the timeline move when hovering over the playback? It’s more convenient for manually tracking."
