Question

How to play only current track?

Hello dear Friends,

is there a hotkey or a function or anything at all, that allowes me to play only a track, where there is a clip selected? All others should not be visible.

I am working a lot with stacked footage (mainly music videos with multiple takes) so I dont want to go through the pain and disable & enable every single track over and over again.

Only the track where there is a selection (can be multiple tracks) should play, ignore others. Same with audiotracks

Thanks

Peter

many users are requesting hotkeys for track controls, here you go:

feel free to vote and add to this feature request

For the case when you need to edit from different angles using Multicam. Here is the order of precedence in the screenshots.

You can make a feature request here, where the Adobe engineers read all threads:

If we are talking about doubles, then this feature is perfectly implemented in DaVinci. It's called Take Selector. You put as many takes as you want and as your concert progresses, choose the one you prefer and does not clog the timelines, since it is hidden from view. At any stage of production and approval of the final take, you can approve and delete unnecessary ones with one click. As for the different frames from the concert, then put their stack of frames in Multicam in your pie (the one in Premiere) and use hotkeys to select the desired track to display in the viewing window.

Hi Peter,

Is there any specific reason you are not using Premiere's multicam feature for your sequence? You would be able to cycle through all the layers of your footoage in the source monitor and cut a lot easier vs. stacking the footage in your sequence.

If you have not used the multicam feature, here is an Adobe article you can go through to set up your multicam sequence:

I'm afraid that activating the Eye icons in the Video tracks or the S (Solo) buttons is the only way to single out certain audio and/or video tracks. AFAIK, there are no shortcuts available to achieve this.

You can turn off all the tracks by clicking the eye with the shift key held down then just re-click on the eye for your wanted track.

As Richard said pressing the solo (s) button will do what you want with the audio tracks.
