Hi everyone. After using Adobe Premiere Pro for about 3 years on the same computer, the 24.3 version is starting to have those Low Memory notifications. I’m not able to render videos with Adobe Media Encoder either I’m having the ‘Export Error. Error compiling movie.’ issue and the program randomly crashes. I will list my steps reproduced, include my specs and list the things I’ve done that didn’t work.

So here's what's happening:

  1. I add my media with no issues.
  2. I hit play on the preview screen and it is reproducing as usual. Even in VLC player the videos are working fine with no issues.
  3. When I choose proxy settings I see they changed and added new options. I always choose QuickTime H.264 since it’s the one that works, well not anymore.
  4. The Encoder either shows me a failed message or it crashes.
  5. I’m not doing anything new. I used to render 8k and 4k videos with no issues.

Here are my specs:

  • Device: Alienware m15
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
  • Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
  • System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2070

Troubleshooting steps attempted:

  1. Erase media cache.
  2. Erase preference settings.
  3.  Adjust Memory Usage (Adobe Premiere Pro is currently at 16GB and sharing 13GB, it was always like that and it worked with no issues).
  4. Went to File/Preference/General and changed Processing to Only Software Mercury Playback Engine.
  5. Changed to every type of Proxys for my rendering (image below). All of them resulted in Export error or Failed.

  6. I've reinstalled both Premiere 2024 and Media Encoder. None of that worked.
  7. I tried the Beta, nope.
  8. I tried the latest version that worked for me, 23.6.5. Although it seemed to respond well, it didn't worked.

Hi @leosanab,

Try importing the old project into a new one. See how it goes.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello again Kevin! I forgot to mention that I also did that but I doesn't seem to work. I'm lucky that i just started the project so there's no need to import settings.
