How to sync text to audio?

hello, I am a complete newbie, I’m currently working on a project with a lot of 3 year olds talking about different things, some are difficult to understand so I wanted to add text to that Clip, I have seen videos where the words show up on the screen as the words come out of the persons mouth. How do I match the text exactly to the audio?
