Hey guys,

I am unsure if Premiere Pro or Rush is the correct platform to create the attached videos, but please help:

How were the following Instagram videos created? Are these mockup scenes using HD videos with a smart object layer for text? I have no clue how to create a video as such, or even which Adobe program to use.

The second video is a good example of why I believe it is some sort of mockup because the text on the sign has shadows from the tree, making it appear realistic. Is this done on video software or Photoshop? I'm lost.

Thanks for any help!!

Adobe After Effects.

Video 1 is an example of a technique called rotoscoping. The couple walking in front of the wall are a copy of themselves layered over the text, with the background painted out. You can do this with the Roto Brush Tool and allow it to automatically do it's thing.

Video 2 is even easier. The footage is tracked, either with the built in motion tracker or the Mocha plugin, and then the tracking data applied to the text layer so that it matches the movement. Probably applied to Corner Pin.

I know you asked about Premiere or Rush but the tools are limited for this kind of FX work, and it's much easier in After Effects once you learn the techniques.
