I can’t apply marker in specific track

Guys please help whenever i press M for marker it duplicates by itself and make it for audio track nd video track and top in timeline where the playehead placed so it basically applies 3 markers while i  just need to apply only one marker to use in a specific track it will help me alot to fix this issue .

Try deselecting all (command shift a, macOS; control shift a, Windows), then select the clip and press m.

 

If that doesn't work as expected, double-click the clip to open it in the Source panel and then press m.

 

For clarification, markers can be placed along the Timeline Ruler (a Timeline Marker) or places along a clip (a Clip Marker).  Markers cannot be placed on a Track.
