Question

I can't import any file using import tab (command+i) on macOS Catalina

To import files, one should simply right click under the Project tab and click 'import'. You can also press "command+i". But if I do one of thesee action nothing happens, while if it works corretly it opens a tab from wich you can select the file to import. So, to import a file I must use the multimedial browser or I must drop the file in to the projec.

The problem comes when I try to import preset, cause if I click on import preset nothing happens. HELP ME PLEASE

What file format are you working with?  Some tapeless camera formats have to go through the Media Browser.

If you're confident that you're working with a file format that should work via File > Import (.mov, .mp4, .wav, .aif, .png., .jpg, etc.), what happens if you drag and drop from the Finder to the Project tab?

You mentioned a preset. If this is a MOGRT, those are accessed in the Essential Graphics panel and added to a project from there (not via File > Import).

Hi there,

Are you able to use other functions in Premiere Pro like File > Open Project or File > Save As which requires to open Finder? Also, please ensure that the keyboard shortcut for Import is set as Cmd + I in Premiere Pro > Keyboard Shortcuts.

Thanks,

Sumeet

Import preset? What/which preset.

Please post computer specs, OS build,
Premiere build (not just the latest),
Screenshot media used in Mediainfo in treeview.
