Question

I can't write the accented capital "a" on premiere: "À"

Good morning community I can't write the accented capital "a" on premiere pro: "À". When I try to copy it from the web and insert it on the screen it disappears and doesn't reappear even after rendering. The key combinations ALT181, ALT193, ALT142, ALT196 do not work either. Now I'm working with Garamon-Italic, and perhaps this "special" character wasn't included in the fonts I downloaded from the update package. Could anyone give me some advice or even send me a "safe" link along these lines.

Good morning community I can't write the accented capital "a" on premiere pro: "À". When I try to copy it from the web and insert it on the screen it disappears and doesn't reappear even after rendering. The key combinations ALT0183, ALT0192 do not work either. I tried to do it another way, through the "all caps" option starting from the lowercase accented "a" as you can see in this video. Also here without success... When I start the command the letter disappears... Now I'm working with Garamon-Italic, and perhaps this "special" character wasn't included in the fonts I downloaded from the update package. Could anyone give me some advice or even send me a "safe and complete" link about this font? Thanks a lot!!!!!

Hi @federico_6408,

I read your note. Welcome to the community. In my experience, the test is with other fonts. Does the capital letter work with other fonts? Does this font have the same issue in other Adobe apps? If so, then the issue is with the font itself. It sounds like you are in touch with the company that created the font. You can definitely work with them to troubleshoot. You might also be correct in that specific characters might not be supported. I hope we can help you  correct this problem, so you can get back to your project. Sorry for the holdup.k

Take Care,
Kevin

Hi Kevin! First of all, thank you for your precious advice and I apologize for having answered you after such a long time... Anyway, I did what you asked me to do, I tried to insert the À with other characters and they all work!!!
I have attached a test that I did with Impact... At this point, either I downloaded an incomplete or defective version of this font, or it is the version of the font itself that is originally missing this character... I wanted to ask you for help in both directions: if you could send me a link to the Garamond Italic font that you consider reliable, and then I also wanted to ask you if we could send an email together to the company that manages this font because I am a nobody while you are an Adobe expert and therefore have much more weight than me in these things.... Oh, obviously you can use all the videos that I post below... of course they are public for everyone... I just have to thank you again for your help!!! Unfortunately, the person who commissioned this work explicitly asked me for this font... Imagine the bad luck!!!

Its not alt181 but alt0181 etc

You are forgetting the 0 (zero) in all codes.

True. I forgot to write zero here, sorry. I tried again and I also recorded a video that unfortunately shows that I don't get this character. I couldn't show my fingers writing the key combination on the keyboard, with zero as well, but that's right... I made at least dozens of attempts...
