If you edit in proxy mode and then export, does it export using the proxy media or the master?

Was editing in proxy mode and forgot to un-toggle that setting before I exported. When I realized my blunder, I untoggled proxy mode and re-exported. However, reviewing the two different videos shows no difference in quality, leading me to wonder if Premiere automatically uses the original media when exporting, regardless of whether or not you are in proxy mode.

Is this the case? Do I have to manually remember to un-toggle proxy mode every time I export or am I safe to just export, knowing that the original media will be used in the render?

Thanks!

Hello! Hopping on to ask... what if premiere DOESNT automatically export with the original footage, and seemingly randomly (maybe, longer sequences/exports?) exports using proxies even with the 'Export using Proxies' boxed unchecked?

    Thanks!

Premiere would only use the proxies if it doesn't 'see' the original media, or if you have the 'use proxies' option checked for the export.

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...
