Question

Image corruption only on YouTube Android TV

Hi

I am experiencing an odd image corruption issue that is only being seen on the official YouTube Android TV app.

The video was created in Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 and exported with the YouTube 1080p Full HD preset.

I have uploaded a test video here: https://youtu.be/1H8dMGR7u4o which plays perfectly correctly on all other platforms that I can test - on MacOS web browser, iOS app, Apple TV app, Sky Q STB app.

When the video is played on Android TV app on my Sony TV though the moving images show corruption (which also moves with the images, which is odd!!). I have uploaded a video of my TV screen for you to see: https://youtu.be/WPszIet8c0Q

The images in question are PSDs, although I have replaced them is JPGs to see if that made a difference.

Does anyone have any thoughts, or do you think this is some weird Android TV app bug?

Thanks.

Peter

Post screenshot of export settings.

Android TV app? What is that?

I have not changed any settings, so it's exactly as defined by Adobe in the YouTube 1080p Full HD preset.

"official YouTube Android TV app" = the YouTube app, provided by YouTube, that runs on the Android TV operating system (in my case a Sony TV).

I had already discounted that as a troubleshooting step as the Apple TV & Sky Q are both on the TV. However, it doesn't hurt to try, so... no, the video plays perfectly.

By "please post screenshot" do you mean of the problem, or do you mean of the file on a flash drive? If the former then I've uploaded a movie to YouTube of the problem (see original post).

Thanks

If the video plays perfect it is the YT app.
