I'm trying to import srt file into premiere pro cc (7.0) and CS6. Its not showing up in my preview window. I can see the captioned file on my timeline above my video clip but the captions are not showing up on the preview window.

In the latest CC version of PPRO, importing a .SRT will have the file be interpreted as a 708 service 1 closed caption file. So set your monitors (via the wench icon)  to CEA-708, Service 1.

PPRO CS 6.0 does not support SRT files.

Hi Theodore,

Have you enabled "Captions Display" in the Program Monitor settings?

If it's already enabled, click on Settings... and check which Standard is selected for Closed Captions.

Thanks,

Rameez

Thanks for the response back. Both of my captions displays are Enabled and its still not showing up. Does it matter what settings it is in? The caption file is srt. and I"m using the Premiere CC Program.
