Hi,
how do I import a Final Draft script into story for scheduling? I've tried the straight import and changed the .stdoc to all files to select the Final Draft document but it fails. Any suggestions? Or is the function currently not available on the new version?
Andrew
Hi sixgunspaghetti,
This feature is not supported in the new version of Adobe Story, as of now. However, we are looking forward to adding it in future.
Thanks,
Rameez

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a feature for that yet.

What is the time frame for adding the ability to import/export into other formats? I concur with the others, it is extremely to be able to import & export into Final Draft and others software. If not, Abode Story is useless.

Hi......Following the decision to axe Story would the contributors to this thread consider adding a comment in support of keeping Adobe Story going on the following thread? The hope would be that if enough people contributed Adobe may listen.
Thanks
Bill

it seems that all forms of import have been removed in the new version of Adobe Story. I was so excited to use this product now, even if they are re-added I can't trust Adobe to not remove them again. I'm so very disappointed.
if i wasn't using CC for other apps i might leave adobe for this kind of trickery.
All the videos of what this app is capable of were very exciting. Not anymore!

Please keep us posted when this is added. I was so excited to learn about Story, but disappointed it cannot import FD. I don't have time to type in my completed scripts:-( <sigh>

Why would you remove the most common type of file that a writer would import? That doesn't make any sense. Is there a way to be notified if/when you figure out what a stupid idea that was/is? Because I won't even touch this if I can't import FD files. I'm pretty certain most writers feel the same way.

Still looking for Adobe to put this back in. Honestly, Adobe story could be very useful, but I can't understand who would bother to use it if it's not going to play nice with final draft or any other screenwriting app for that matter. Would love to schedule my projects with this, but sadly will have to find an alternative.

Not being able to import a FD file is a huge short coming for Story. It has repercussions outside of just Story. Linking Story script data as Metadata in Premiere Pro is limited... I would go as far as to suggest it's makes using Premiere Pro for narrative projects far less attractive than other NLE's that let you sync Final Draft script data.
