Importing renamed Red files

Hello, I am working with red files for the first time and I learned to import through the media browser to premiere recognizes duplicate files and only imports one. However, before learning this I renamed a lot of my files in my hard drive before even starting my project. It seems that premiere doesn't recognize the duplicates in the renamed files and will import every single duplicate. This only happens with the takes that I have renamed on my hard drive. My only solution to this has been opening each folder individually and import one by one which has been very time consuming. Are there any solutions to this problem?
