Impossible to re-link offline media when it's saved in synced OneDrive folder

Hi Adobe - I find this incredibly frustrating - I am using Microsoft onedrive with a lot of files i'm not currently using saved only on the cloud/ not locally downloaded. e.g. old footage from other projects.

When media goes offline in my premier pro projects it's impossible to re-link it because the file finder built into premier starts downloading everything on the whole drive! so frustrating!

So the only way is to add the footage again and swap it out.

Can you either fix this or just let us insert a new file path without having to download everything?

Thanks

MS OneDrive is ...to my experience ... a royal pain.

On my new computer, when booted up initially, it took over my User folders, moving them into the OneDrive folder ... and wouldn't let any Adobe app write anything there. So none of my preferences, presets, keyboard shortcuts, nothing of my User stuff, would go there and 'stick'.

I couldn't sync my user stuff, nothing. And it took me three days fighting with this, MS help, online searches, before I finally figured out how to totally and completely nuke it from my system.

So if in general it's working for you, well, great .... maybe.

The only cloud storage that I've found that really works with video post is LucidLink ... which was built from the ground up to do video post "delivery" for NLE work, from online storage. So the process of parsing and ordering the data packets was designed for video files used "live" in NLEs, not to transfer spreadsheets and doc files.

Some people do manage to get OneDrive working sorta mostly, some struggle, and some, like me, nuke the blame thing.

Best luck ...
