Indexing or labeling clips so that they are searchable in the future

Hi there, I am hoping someone can help me please.  I have a large bank or b-roll and I was hoping that there is a way to index/ tag/ label the footage so that down the track, I can search the index/ tag/ label.  For example -  My b-roll footage has a computer, a red haired woman, a sunset, etc etc.  I tag all those 'somewhere' and then when I am asked to pull b-roll of computers, I can search the index and know which of my b-roll contains these items in it.

Can anyone help me with this please...?

Thanks in advance,

Jade

Actually, Adobe Premiere Pro can help you track your clips' metadata using search bins inside your project:

Additionally, Adobe has a file management tool that comes with Creative Cloud: Adobe Bridge CC. Take a look at a few resources:

Adding metadata to images from Adobe Bridge CC: Tips, Tricks, and Techniques by Richard Harrington

(*this applies to all kinds of files, including video, not just images.)

Learn about Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP) standard and working with metadata in Adobe Bridge

If you're on a Mac computer, you can use your Photos organizer to also manage metadata:

Hope this helps!

You need to look at Digital Asset Management software, like Kyno:
