Is there a way of inserting an external link (e.g. YouTube) in a video, when editing it?

Other than displaying a link and call-to-action (that is, a text like go to www.thissite.com for blabla), you cannot make it an interactive link. However, with some additional coding, a web savvy tech person is able to overlay the video with a visual and clickable link.
