is it possible to edit after using vanishing point?

After the effect is applied is it possible to go back into vanishing point and move the text that you just applied. I know some videos show a new layer being added after clicking okay when done with vanishing point but no layer gets added. Also my problem is having to erase and redo the vanishing point over and over to get the text in the right spot.
