Issue adding media to timeline after initial clip is added

Hello, I am having an issue I had on PC now on my Macbook Pro M1 14 inch. When I add the first clip to my timeline, I cannot add any other video clip to the timeline now. When I drag another video clip to the timeline, it will show its audio source and will not add the video portion of the clip. 

 

My current work around is to make a new sequence for each video then copy and pasting the videos to the main timeline which is slow, annoying, and just insane. This recently started happening within the last two weeks and is frustrating. 

 

Does anyone have a solve for this issue?

    The most common user error is not source patching the track.
    Solved by first opening clip in Source Monitor. Then drag/insert into timeline.
