Issue when playing Youtube video

Sometimes when I play a video, it freezes and I get this error. Man 15.1 is buggy

Youtube files are not suited to be edited.

Transcode before import.

Did you try it with an older version of Premiere Pro? because the downloaded file from YouTube may be corrupt. When you play it from Windows, does it play normal? Ultimately you could try to download it again and go testing.

What video format are you trying to play and at what settings?

Windows 10, the video is an mp4, just a video I downloaded from Youtube. When I shuttle right (play the video at 2x speed or more), is when I get the error. It's very consistent to replicate: https://streamable.com/wah6xk

Have you tried transcoding the video to a file format that is good for editing?

Based on what you have shared, I would go with QuickTime Apple ProRes 422 LT.
