Issues with fonts...Win10 Vs Adobe CC

Okay, this has been happening more than once.  I find a cool font, I download the zip file, I unzip it, open it up and install it.  Then I open PP CC and the font is not listed.  So I open up CC, go to fonts and all of the different styles for this font are activated in CC but do not show up in PP.  Then I open up PP and get errors like this:

So what happened to my CC fonts after this latest PP update?

They claim to fix bugs but in turn cause more bugs.  Like the "low-level exception occurred" error which does not allow you to render or preview any of your graphic elements or effects for those graphic elements.  UGH.  Yes, I've read all about "rolling back a version" but that scares me a bit when I have 3-4 active projects I am working on.

Please Adobe..please fix this...you're our only hope.
