Keyboard not working in Premiere Pro 23.1.0

Hey folks,

 

I don't know if it's just me but everytime I open premiere to work on a project I have to delete my preferences just to get my keyboard to work. I can't use any of the timeline shortcuts but I can use the save and quit keyboard shortcuts.

 

It's gettign pretty frustrating now especially when moving back and fourth between projects throuhout the day.  Anyone know how to fix this?

 

Running on a 15" 2018 Macbook Pro

My experience is a bit better, but when I map Control-B to the command "Enable" to use when highlighting a clip, it doesn't happen. It just ignores it. Ive checked for multiple use of the keystroke, nope. This worked fine before V 23.1.0 Build 86. Mac Studio M1 Ultra, 64GB RAM, a zillion GPU's, etc.
