Keyframe Audio Distortion

Hello there,

I want to do a meme in which the audio starts normal but slowly turns into bad, distorted audio. I gave it a try but it doesn't work to my liking.

I used the distortion effect and selected the preset "Knickerbocker-Angus". Then I keyframed "Time Smoothing" from 100% at the beginning to 0% at the end of my clip. But then the clip already starts with a little bit of bad audio, which I don't want it to do. Changing the other settings on the distortion effect don't seem to do anything useful for me either. Can somebody help me with this? Thanks 🙂

    Hi !

    I never tried to do so, but you can nest the sound and see if it change something.

      Nesting is useless if you cannot change an effect values. I've posted the working solution above

      You can still change the values of a Nested sequence by double clicking it.

      Hi. As I can see no one knows how to do it. I can give you a hint - cut the audio track where you want the effect to start, apply distortion to the second part and put an audio transition bethene those two. That is all.
