This is hard to explain, but i accidentily hit a wrong key and the top half of the clip is the right color (magenta) and the bottom half is whateveer the default color for that media type is (Green).

I'll uplaod a pic.

(ignore the video track becasue  it's not effecting the video tracks fro some reason) So i want this audio to be all magenta, but the default setting for audio is green, so the top half is magenta and the bottom is green! WHY?!! i can't figure out what i did !

( ive been using premire for 22 yrs and this program still fricks with me!!)

To fix this, open the Timeline panel's context menu (three horizontal lines in the top-right corner) and enable Audio Waveforms Use Label Color. This will ensure the label colors display correctly on the timeline.

In Preferences there's an option about matching labels between audio & video, and I think in the sequence menus of the header block something also.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

heres another pic of my timeline so you can get a better idea. I just want my labels to color the clips normally. Something got switched on that makes them both my label and the default media type label half and half style !
