Rendering in Adobe Premiere Pro (2022/23)

My PC specs are 64GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3070.

Whilst I have background browser tabs open and watching videos, they start to slow down immensely and the audio starts to break up. I was unsure if this is an issue with my PC or Premiere Pro. I am editing 1080p footage. Transferring media in drives seems to have the same issue if it is a large transfer. I thought by installing more RAM it could have gotten better but I have not seen much difference.

Your browser tabs and media players are using a lot of computer resources, so yes, that's slowing the Premiere rendering down dramatically. Those apps are 'live' so they take precedence over something operating in the background too.
