Lagging when attempting to move any visual aspect in playback view

my premiere version is 24.2.1
Windows 10 Home
Put any type of media in premiere, try to move the location of it in the playback view.
It should move smoothly, and it is not.

Everything in Premiere is fine and smooth. The timeline is fine, the playback is fine. Only when I try to move any images, video, etc. does it lag. I have tried every single thing reccomended to me. Reinstalling drivers, reinstalling premiere, fixing the project and sequence settings, changing the amount of ram, so on and so forth. Absolutely nothing has worked.

The issue is not project related either, I made a fresh project and imported a video I recorded today, same issue.

Your uploaded video doesn't work either?

When you say move the video, do you mean resize it in the program monitor and perhaps move the position of the smaller view? Or is it moving a clip on the timeline to a new position.

 

If it's the former, there's another thread around here about that, it has a bunch of replies. You should look for that. Otherwise begin again.

Hi there!

Sorry about the issue. Just to confirm, are you getting lag while moving clips on the timeline? If so, could you try resetting preferences and deleting cache files? Also, can you share the screen recording of the issue for better understanding?
